I'm having trouble with PDP finding some libraries. When I run ./configure I get:
checking for png_read_image in -lpng... no libpng not found: not building png support checking for XOpenDisplay in -lX11... no libX11 not found: not building X11 support checking for XvPutImage in -lXv... no libXv not found: not building pdp_xv checking for lqt_decode_video in -lquicktime... no libquicktime not found: not building pdp_qt checking for glXSwapBuffers in -lGL... no libGL not found: not building pdp_glx checking for SDL_Init in -lSDL... no libSDL not found: not building pdp_sdl target is linux
If I do locate on libGL and libXv I get:
/usr/X11R6/lib/tls/libGL.so.1.2 /usr/X11R6/lib/tls/libGL.so.1 /usr/X11R6/lib/libGLU.so.1 /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1 /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2 /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a /usr/X11R6/lib/libGLU.so.1.3 /usr/lib/tls/libGL.so.1 /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 /usr/lib/libGLU.so.1 /usr/local/lib/libGL.so.1.2
and :
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXv.so.1 /usr/X11R6/lib/libXv.so.1.0
Any ideas why these libraries aren't being found??
Jim
hi Jim
you need to install the developement packages for all the libs used before you can compile any of these.
cheers

Here are some new videos I made with my V3 patch (to be released soon), using GEM and ... PD. They were part of a live presentation at "Appareil electro, batterie et basse" (http://www.danslchamp.org/appareil.htm). They are compressed in MPEG4.

Very cool!
(PS: As I don't speak French I had a good laugh when using Babelfish to translate your site to German: http://tinyurl.com/yrghz Quote: "V3 mit rein-Datieren und die Gem-Buchhandlung ist geplant worden." Haha! Pure Data became "rein-Datieren" und die Gem-Buchhandlung ist auch toll!)
