hi
how can i manually change the preferences on windows? i know that on linux there is a settings file but how about windows? Do i need to edit the registry? I am checking the mailing list archives but i dont get a good answer.
I did something stupid, put -nogui into the startup flags. Now always when i run pd is nogui and i cannot change it back ...
thanks

you can start also pd from commandline with giving some arguments or you can write all startoptions into a file with the extension .bat, like:
path/to/pd -some -options -open foo.pd
double-click on that file will start pd with all the given options.

oops, i would delete the registry entry, but i don't know right now, where it is located. afaik, there isn't an option you could use in your startscript to overide the '-nogui'-flag from the registry. so i assume deleting the registry entry is the only solution.

Hi Roman~
Try running regedit from the Run... command in the Start menu, and then sift through the junk! On my work machine, Pd regestry files are located in this registry "path":
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Pd
Your's may be different, since this is from Pd-extended. Another option, if you are using Pd-extended is to find or download the registry file, and then double click on it. I have not tried it, but it may overwrite the previous settings.

hi
in the end i run /c:windows/regedit.exe and found the pd entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Pd. I deleted the -nogui from flags but after that when i run PD i had no sound devices (??). As i didnt understand very well all the entries related to PD, in the end i deleted all and after that it was working fine. This is weird as i am quite sure i only modified the flags entry.
