Hi,
when i connect a [ctlin] box to a numeric box limited between two numbers between 0 and 127 (30 an 84 for example) the limit doesnt work, I mean, the numbers go from 0 to 127 without considering the limits.
why this? what do you usually use to solve it?

For example [clip 30 84]. I don't know if number boxes and atoms would be better off clipping input themselves, if bounds are set, but they never did in the past six years, so I guess it's entrenched.

There's a larger issue too. In Max, sliders, toggles, etc. pass integers through even if they're out of the nominal range of the object; I just recently noticed that in Pd the IEM GUIs clip pass-through values to the range of the object. I'd love to change this but it would probably break 100s of patches so eventually will probably have to make this an "option" somehow.
cheers Miller
