Hi,
Wouldn't you just make this part of your patch?
some kind of "init" send that sends the "default" values to all the things in your patch?
Or are you talking about reseting GUI objects?

i just taught about a message which sets back the state of the patch
(includeing the number boxes and other object data) to the values
saved on disk. just like the "revert to previous version" command in
many mac applications. as i sayd it's not urgent - i was just wondering.

excuse me if this is too obvious, but you could use messages to close and reopen the window in question. a bit of a hack, yes, but it could be made to work. if its the only window open, you could also use messages to create a new window that has the logic to close and open the original for you.
