Is anybody using ossmixer with pd-extended 0.41.4 on Ubuntu Gutsy?
It's not working here!

That's some really old code that no one maintains. It sounds useful,
but if it doesn't work, the developer hasn't been using Pd for years.

well i don't know whether it really sounds useful. it's a mixer for OSS which only a very few people still use (i think).
ingo, if you are using ALSA, have you loaded the OSS emulation drivers? in theory it should work then.

how does this logic work? if d13b was still using Pd (at least he is
still maintaining the pdwebring), would that automatically make his
software work?

If you use ALSA, you could try amixer from SVNROOT/externals/iem/amixer/ instead. Don't know if that still works, but I guess it does.
