sorry, it's unreadable not only on linux...
Actually it's readable everywhere, as it's just an xml-file that acts like a kind of pointer to the *.mp4 file. I replaced .qtl in the URL with .mp4 and downloaded and viewed that file instead.

I'm using Ubuntu Gutsy, it came up in the browser but didn't play, but I right-clicked and chose "Open in Movie Player" and then Totem popped up and it played just fine.

it just worked for me with the mplayer plug-in.

Yeah, the qtl bit is an ugly hack that's probably 8 years old. I
should ditch my old script for real photo album software. One of
these days...
The files are direct from the camera, hence the format. It would be
nice to have a camera that uses ogg for video! :D

ah, sorry, .qtl is the file extension... never heard of it, but as i said, mplayer plays it ( -> thus ,linux' plays it)
do rather blame the cellular phones manufacturers, which use this kind of formats, not the users of such cellphones.

hola,

externs I'm going to commit: grid: a gui 2d grid editor made esecially for editing/sequencing lists of floats, it should be a nice frontend for iemmatrix (I'm planning to add iemmatrix-specific messages, so that is more straightforward) notehigh/notelow: externals for getting monophonic midi from [midiin]
err, have you ever seen that page? http://ydegoyon.free.fr/software.html ?
ehm... of course I've seen that... I've borrowed your tk2c script too ;)
grid will create other name conflicts again, if not duplicate funcionalities....
we have namespace prefixes for that, no?
i don't trust namespaces and that everybody knows how to use it correctly so better to avoid name conflicts before the damage's done.
anyway I'll think to a more self-explicative name...
editmatrix seems a good candidate...
oh yeh, is see what it is now, good idea and kind of useful for making a good old fast tracker patch, ain't it?
can i suggest the name of 'tracker' ? just to keep it simple and clear.
saludos, sevy

And namespaces don't really work well for binary objects (externals) yet.

What about "numgrid"?

AFAIK, they work well for Pd objects and binary objects. The only
difference I know of is that with binaries, if you load and object
with the namespace prefix, then it will also claim the class name
without the prefix, i.e. using [maxlib/change] will claim [change] as
well. That doesn't happen with objects written in Pd.

But yes, just because there are namespaces, does not mean that you
should give generic names to your objects. Objects should still have
names that describe their function well and are hopefully unique.

Yes, that's what I meant as being problematic when using namespaces with externals.
