isn't the direct connection between the dsp-toggle and [f] superfluous?
Yes, its just to make the patch more readable.
besides that, quite a handy object, very useful. (I'll just change the colours for my taste)
What color would you think works better for the DSP? I think green means go works well. This object will be part of the help/tutorial style guide, so its good to have it standardized.
by the way, something that would be useful would be a general dac~ object, that pick up sound directly from the board. That would be a good complement to this object, and good for general control. (well, a bit - or a lot - like msp's adoutput~)
Yeah, I suppose I could add audio in to it, like Max/MSP's object, but I am not sure that would be the best way to handle that... maybe...

I did "ezdac~.pd" which is part of RRADical and also it's spread all over CVS btw, as I use it all the time and thus have various copies of it in various directories, sorry. :(
It has a toggle for dsp on/off, a slider for volume control and three inlets, two for audio, one for the volume control. It also has two signal outlets, which is very handy if you want to put a recording patch after it, that should record with an appropriate volume level.
I called it ezdac~ because a similar object of that name is part of Max/MSP.
I'd suggest that for audio-in the object could be called ezadc~.pd
