hi all ...
i've got a problem with gem on my machine (ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY) with a simple gem patch:
|gemhead| | |pix_film| | |pix_texture| | |rectangle|
this works fine for some time, but not for long ... the machine freezes (or at least it doesn't respond any more) the specific part of dmesg is:
[drm] Initialized drm 1.0.0 20040925 ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:01:00.0[A] -> Link [LNKA] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5 [drm] Initialized radeon 1.16.0 20050311 on minor 0: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY agpgart: Found an AGP 2.0 compliant device at 0000:00:00.0. agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:00:00.0 into 4x mode agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:01:00.0 into 4x mode
any idea, what i'm doing wrong?
thanks ... tim

my laptop has the same one, but it refuses to start....so i cannot test it myself. (but of course i did test, back then when it still worked)

this just looks like starting X; are you sure this is produced after starting pd ?

which file-format ?
quicktime, mp4v
which decompression library is used ?
libquicktime? i have support for quicktime, libmpeg3 and libaviplay
this just looks like starting X; are you sure this is produced after starting pd ?
this is the specific X part ... i somehow have the feeling that it's more like a problem with X than with gem ...
if you have the same graphics chip, can you send me the specific content of your X config file ...
thanks ... tim
