If you are in NY on April 15th my piece for Microtonal trumpet and electronics (running Pd) will feature in Stephen Altoft's recital as part of the AMERICAN FESTIVAL OF MICROTONAL MUSIC (AFMM), under the direction of Johnny Reinhard, presents a four-night series at Spectrum, located at 121 Ludlow Street, second floor, in Lower Manhattan. Admission is $20. at the door for each night; $15 for seniors and students.
Tuesday at 7 PM on April 15th spotlights the microtonal trumpet in recital featuring European trumpeter Stephen Altoft in his own composition RASP, as well as Oded Ben-TalÂs STILL LIFE, Elia KoussaÂs UPWARDS IN TIME, Elizabeth Adams IMMATERIAL, Donald BoustedÂs YASSER DESCRIBES HIS POLEMIC (and adds some footnotes), Cornelius SchwehrÂs LE BONHEUR, Gordon KampeÂs YIIIIIIIIIHA, Eleri PoundÂs GNOSSIENNE, and Alexander GrebtschenkoÂs BYE-BYE. Mr. Altoft has collected short works in 19-tone equal temperament named the ÂThe Yasser Collection after the early 20th Century theorist and organist, Joseph Yasser.
