Hello,
I'm actually working with the great [clone] object for doing additive synthesis, and I'd like to report to list how pd crashing is painful because the cloned abstraction have not been saved by inadvertance when clone object is reinitialized.
How about introducing the handful warning message that prevent an abstraction to loose changes with clone object?
Best regards,
Patco

you probably should post this on the issue-tracker.
(also note that crashing is always painful, but i do not think it helps with the problem description; afaiu the problem is really that when you edit a cloned abstraction "foo" and remake the [clone foo] object, you do not get the "Discard changes to 'foo.pd'?" popup; correct me if i'm wrong)
