Any chance of getting the Mac OS X portaudio files in CVS? Or at least
could you tell me how you build on OSX now? I get this:

Hi HC -
well, the way I compile Pd in MacOS is to build the Pd.app file tree, then cd to Pd-0.39-2.app/Contents/Resources/src (version number changes of course), then "./configure" and "make". The missing files are all there, for instance:
Pd-0.39-2.app/Contents/Resources/portaudio/pablio/ringbuffer.h Pd-0.39-2.app/Contents/Resources/portmidi/pm_mac/pmmac.c
... which I got by typing "tar tzf pd-0.39-2.mac.tar.gz".
I use a horrible shell script to build the Pd.app file tree itself (combining the source release and a bunch of boilerplate files), which then CDs to the src directory and calls "make".

Would it be possible to get the missing files in CVS? I could add them
if you don't mind.
