Hello,
I am new to terminal and i am following the instructions to install pdp from http://tdegoyon.free.fr/pdp_pidip_osx.tar.gz
in OSX 10.4.10 in a Powerbook G4.
I get these errors:
jaime-e-oliver-lrs-powerbook-g4-15:~/Desktop Joliver$ sudo cd downloads jaime-e-oliver-lrs-powerbook-g4-15:~/Desktop Joliver$ sudo cp pdp_pidip_osx.tar.gz usage: cp [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-f | -i | -n] [-pv] src target cp [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-f | -i | -n] [-pv] src1 ... srcN directory jaime-e-oliver-lrs-powerbook-g4-15:~/Desktop Joliver$ sudo cd jaime-e-oliver-lrs-powerbook-g4-15:~/Desktop Joliver$ sudo tar xvfz pdp_pidip_osx.tar.gz tar (child): pdp_pidip_osx.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now tar: Child returned status 2 tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
Also, is this the best way of doing it and/or is there a newer version for mac i should be trying?
thanks for your help,
Jaime

Hint: Where are you copying pdp_pidip_osx.tar.gz to?

I guess you're just copy/pasting these command lines from somewhere?

PDP works in the current Extended installer, and if you aren't comfortable with the command line, it might be better to try that.
best, d.
