When I try to use the pd -nogui flag nothing happens, Pd doesn't do anything, I can't type anything at prompt? IS this what is supposed to ahppen, if so how do I use pd -nogui if I can't type anything at the command prompt? I'm using windows 95. Thanks in advance!

yes´, this is the correct behaviour. "pd -nogui" starts pd without (standard) gui, so you can't interact with pd in the normal way, but you do not need any computation power for the interface too. to control pd, there are several other possibilities:
"loadbang") 2. control pd with other guis (pe GriPD), that are run as separate programs 3. control your patch via netscen/netreceive from other computers/tasks
