-guenther, pd exits uglily when you try to open a non-existing file into sfread, and also, after this has happened once, you need to delete the sfread object completely and insert a new one because it then it will only crash when you try to load any file. weird.

I can't reproduce this problem, at least not with the current version of sfread. The original version is known to have problems, so please don't use it anymore.
