Hi,
was just checking something. For the display of an array, the maximum size
seems to be 2000 points. That is, with an X size of more than 2000 points
the array still gets correctly scaled, but everything after 2000 points
doesn't get displayed, it's just white. Is this behaviour wanted, or just
noone had so far made arrays longer than 2000 points? Or is there any flag
that I don't know?
Best,
João Pais

I observed similar behaviour, the graphical representation being partly white, but under different conditions then you mention. With the X size being 200, and array size 32000000 (32 million or 3.2e+0.7) points, the last half shows white. The audio can be played normally though. X-range in the properties show correctly as 3.2e+07.
Maybe the problem is related to array size rather than X-size, or it may be related to the combination of array size and X-size.

yes, I think I also once stumbled on that, but don't recall as well.
here is a small test, but inconclusive. an array with 120 points can be
stretched up to 550000 pixels, and is still ok.
But an array with 120K points can only be stretched up to 1000 pixels.
After that the display gets cut (the array is still fine).
Also another issue: if you have an array with 550000 pixels in your patch
(doesn't happen every day, right?), and you slide to the right corner,
when you try to create objects there, they'll appear somewhere else. Has
tcl/tk a limit for the canvas size?
Slide the patch to the right, at some point you'll see a couple of loose
comments. They're in that position, although I was in the right corner of
the patch when I pressed ctrl-5.
the file is zipped, or it takes too much space for a mailing list.
