Hi,
I'm looking for the interface to dialog boxes and file i/o dialogs and documentation on how to access them from within pd, or is the use of such things greatly discouraged in a pure environment :) ?
Yours, Orm
P.S.: Unfortunately I don't have any knowledge of tk/tcl and also don't know a lot about guis, flow of commands and the underlying message system altogether, including the notion of a canvas in the context of pd. I just used the Interface of the old MacOS for Dialogs.
There are [openpanel] & [savepanel] externs that allow you to open and save files through the use of dialog boxes from within your PD patch. Is this what you're looking for?
./MiS
