Also, some soundcards have a "Microphone Boost" option that
is necessary with quieter mics. My Creative ens1371 is that
way.

windows-system-settings. so you will have to raise the input-level of the
line-in or microphone-in the windows-system mixer (properties

I'm having trouble using the
adc~ module for realtime processing of my sound card's input. When I
-listdev, I get the soundcard's in as the first device. But when I
force the use of that input upon startup, I can't seem to get anything but
very weak, staticy input from the line in. I'm running 0.36 on Windows
XP with a Yamaha 724-based card. I'm new to pd, but it seems great so
