So, jmmmp externs could be called jmmmp.prepend or jmmmp.rds etc (or jmmmp_rds - whatever flavour suits your tongue!)
when doing things like that, why not just use a libdir approach and use [jmmmp/prepend]? this way the library layout can be reflected both in the patch (object name) and on the filesystem.
