There is a GPIO pi zero soundcard to be released soon by an Australian company called Audio Injector:http://www.audioinjector.net/rpi-shop
I have used their stereo card on my PI2 & 3 with great results. . . very low latency (below 4ms!).Also they have a 16 channel card (8in/8out) which is very tempting.PeterOn Fri, Sep 1, 2017 at 2:37 PM, Christof Ressi <christof.ressi@gmx.at> wrote:I can also recommend this very cheap thing here (around 8€):

(I think both are more or less the same).
the latency is quite bad but basically the same as the Behringer UCA202. I used it several interactive installations with the Raspberry Pi 3 where I didn't need ultra low latencies and it worked well.

Betreff: Re: [PD] pd on pi zero ?
I got smooth audio stereo output (didn't test input) with a Behringer U-Control UCA202 and a pi-zero.
I just tried a simple sine wave, I didn't push it to see what happens under load...but now I'm curious to revisit it and see...

I would think Pd should work on a zero, though I haven't tried it myself.

I have had good luck with the Griffin Technology iMic with the non-zero Raspberry Pi models - amazon.com/gp/product/B003Y5D776[http://amazon.com/gp/ , and I think it's based on one of the chipsets that Miller found worked well.product/B003Y5D776]

i have successfully used the PhatDAC and other I2S based dacs. Output-only though!
Will report later on trying the audioinjector octo card which is input/output.
