btw, just wanted to also mention that python was working properly for me, like i said before i was doing tutorials, running the interpreter, etc., even though some of the files were installing in the wrong locations... wierd, but that's why i didn't think anything was wrong with my python installation...

Thanks for the reply David, but I finally figured out the problem! Python wasn't uninstalling/installing properly so I had to uninstall, delete any sign of it from the registry, and then install again - and now it all works! BTW, I still don't see a listing for PYTHONPATH with the command you listed below... Is that something I should be worried about? I'm just glad the everything if finally working now ;-).

hi Tina, you probably don't have to worry about this PYTHONPATH command. great that you finally managed to sort all this out. could you describe a little bit more how and why you got this pb of installation/uninstallation of Python?
