on the subject of oscillator banks, someone said that this method where you use oversampling and incrementing
the phase of a specific sample in the block can be more efficient than just using separate oscillators
(inspired by a characterization from one of miller's lectures):

Sure, I know her, but it's just an oscillator bank and it's awesome! The technical question still remains whether it can be called a 'phase vocoder'
