hi,

me too i get "couldn't create" when i try to create an object "pdp",
and it's normal, this object cannot be created.

why don't you open the help patches like everyone does?
( they are in pdp/doc )

ciao,
sevy

remove the -Werror from the makefile,
you seem to have the right librairies already.

I'm not clear what you mean by that. I looked in the Makefile for PDP

after I did "./configure

--prefix=/usr/lib --enable-mmx --enable-pwc" and didn't find anything

similar to the error I got:

??

just search -Werror in the Makefile and remove it.

There is no -Werror in the Makefile, or even any mention of the word error. I noticed that the makefile
includes Makefile.config, and looked at that. That has a line that says "PDP_EXTRA_CFLAGS = -Werror" so I
commented that out. Then a make install went smoothly.

All the PDP functions work fine. However, when I make an object called "pdp," instead of getting the usual "pdp
... couldn't create" I get "pdp_matrix_setup: WARNING: overriding gsl error handler. pdp ... couldn't create" I
double checked that I have libgsl0 and libgsl0-dev installed from apt. So, yeah, thanks for the
help--everything seems to work fine, except for that weird little error, which may have something to do with
why I had trouble compiling. Let me know if I've unwittingly borked my entire computer.

Thanks again,
Ian Smith-Heisters
