for apt-get try
sudo apt-cache search Imlib2-dev or
sudo apt-cache search imlib2
etc....
then if you find the appropriate one
sudo apt-get install foo.*

trying to run pd with pdp and pidip... I've installed a few library one by one and so far it was ok. I'm now completely stucked with imlib2 that is requested when I launch pd -lib pidip
does anyone could guide me to install more efficiently all those lib ? I've tried to install apt-get but it seems I don't use it properly.

I'm under Fedora Core 4. Here are the error message I have :
/usr/local/app/Pd-0.39.2-extended-test1-linux-i686/lib/pd/extra/pidip/pidip.pd_linux: libImlib2.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Basically I don't understand the trick to install this lib. Here is the Readme.txt that comes with imlib2...: "php foo:
To use your new extension BUILT IN to php, you will have to execute the following steps:
2b. <you may need to run aclocal here> 3. $ ./buildconf 4. $ ./configure --with-imlib2 5. $ make 6. $ ./php -f ext/imlib/imlib.php 7. $ vi ext/imlib/imlib.c 8. $ make " What is this ?? help .)
