using Linux, i dont have any problems with .mov files.

But, take care: as you maybe know, .mov format is  a container file format (as .avi for example). That means it has a codec besides. One of these codecs you can use on a .mov file is "JPEG Photo". So the file format-codec i use for [pdp_yqt] and [pdp_qt] is  .mov(JPEG Photo) .

Anyway there are some threads at the pd-list-archive talking about it.
