hi:
Do you mean in the [pd guts] of [careGUI], the RESTORE button has this:
[inlet] | [load RRADICAL] | | [t b a] | | | | | [caretaker $1] | [outlet]
If this is what you are referring to, I thought the bang to the outlet is just for signaling that the restoring is complete. Where as the restore is done in the [caretaker $1] by [load RRADICAL] message.
I have also tried to put a [print] in the [caretaker $1] to see if there is any difference between the message sent by the RESTORE button and the message sent from [careGUI]'s inlet, but as far as I can tell, there is no difference, that's why I cam puzzled.
Thanks

Hi
When I look at it, it seems like the RESTORE button gives caretaker a |load RRADICAL( + bangs the outlet, where a manually sent load RRADICAL message would not send the bang after restoring. so you have to take care of that in some other way.

Hi there:
HELP!!!!!!!!!
I have been trying to figure out this question with careGUI of rradical abstraction, but am getting nowhere.
I thought when you hit the RESTORE button, it sends a "load RRADICAL" message into [caretaker $1], so I thought if I pass "load RRADICAL"
message
from the inlet of [careGUI], it will restore the presets.
I can pass the "file /directory" message into [careGUI] and then hit
RESTORE
button, it works. But if I pass the "file /directory" message followed by "load RRADICAL", nothing happens.
I am sure its really simple, but my brain is stuck...
Cheers
