Looks like they just changed the default filesystem used. man hdiutil on my system (macOS 15) yields:

-fs filesystem
                          where filesystem is one of several options such as HFS+, HFS+J (JHFS+), HFSX, JHFS+X, APFS, FAT32, ExFAT, or UDF.  A full list of supported
                          filesystems can be found in create -help.  -fs causes a filesystem of the specified type to be written to the image.  The default file system is APFS.

I suggest using -fs HFS+ on the CI for now...

i can confirm, that the Pd-0.55-2 images were built on a Mojava VM, whereas the Pd-0.56-2 were built on a Monterey VM.

both were using the identical `hdiutil create` invocation to build the DMG, but apparently it does something different on newer macOS.
