Has anyone connected with ubuntu so far?
I tried:

1:
Places>Connect to Server
select Service Type: WebDAV(HTTP)
enter Server url (http://chaos.medien.uni-weimar.de/PdCon11), user, check 'add bookmark'  and give a name
click the bookmark...
result:
forgot to mention: It does first ask for the password, but after entering that:
nothing happens

2:
Places>Connect to Server
select Service Type: Secure WebDAV(HTTP)
enter Server url (http://chaos.medien.uni-weimar.de/PdCon11), user, check 'add bookmark' and give a name
click the bookmark...
result:
HTTP Error: Cannot connect to destination (chaos.medien.uni-weimar.de)

after a few minutes I got this popup:
DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

of which I don't know which of the 2 attempts above it comes from.

under 'Optional Information' I left open the 'Port' and 'Folder' fields, should they be filled in?
and if so, what goes in there?

Thanks,
Tim

Please note that to access the WebDAV you'll need a WebDAV client. I have tested cyberduck (OS X).
Be aware that it's almost 400 GB and there is a lot of trash before you attempt to download it all.
