If you have applied the "add string support" patch you can use the blob atom, which is essentially a pointer to, and the length of, a binary string. The string can be anything at all.

On a different note, has anyone given any thought to handling Blobs? I know that in SQLite, they store the data as binary strings, but I am not quite certain how the external would handle the actual data going into and coming out of it. Mike
