i already mentioned this in [42], but i still fail to see what is wrong with properly installing the font.
if there is an installer (and thanks to roman, Pd now (also) comes as a nice NSIS-based installer), this can easily be automated: installers are quite good at installing things (including fonts). otoh, writing custom code to work around tried and tested solutions, sounds a bit errorprone to me.
Thanks for expressing your opinion. Personally, I do not have a strong preference for one way or the other. However, if installing fonts through installer has a higher likeliness of being adopted, I'll be happy to look into that.
