That might be why I want to use reference counting everywhere.
i can say from my own experience, that using reference counting for memory management of objects is not a bad idea ... the runtime overhead is negligible ... it is possible to write a dataflow system, that makes use of reference counting and outperforms Pd by a factor larger than two :)
