Just delete all the Pd entries. I think you can just delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->PD in one step using regedit. To run regedit, just type the name into "run program". Then Pd will run like new again :) M On Wed, Feb 08, 2006 at 04:45:42PM -0600, David Powers wrote:Does anybody know enough Windows to fix the registry correctly? I'm afraid of it somewhat... I did not change 0.38.4, but somehow it has picked up the problem from 0.39.2. I tried to reinstall 0.38.4 and it didn't make any difference either. In 0.38.4, when I open the "Paths", the paths all look correct, as I didn't change them. HOWEVER, when I try to open the "Startup" dialogue, NOTHING HAPPENS. So, obviously there is some problem here - is there some kind of external file that I could fix with a text editor???Unfortunately for everyone pd messes with the registry in Windows, if you run regedit and look in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->PD you will see among other things a bunch of paths which seeme to be the ones used in the dialogs. I have no idea what is safe to change in there. I hate the registry, so I'm biased.
