the latest GEM wouldn't work for me because of all that pixes and quicktime BS, so i'm trying an older version. it just so happens that i'm a lucky lucky guy and this one won't work either.
GEM is easy to get up and running in windows, but to compile an external in windows is living hell. in linux compiling externals is easy but i can't get GEM to work after MONTHS OF TRYING. anyway here's the very end of the errors this time:
