IGT-Art Seminar 2003

 

Interactive, Generative and Telematic Arts

In Public Places and Alternative Environments

The seminar is organised by the Digital Media Research Centre of the University of the West of England to discuss current production or art-works

and performances based around computer interaction and generative arts.

 

The seminar will consist of several presentations by key figures of

the interactive/generative arts field. Among these:

 

Michel Waisvisz [STEIM, Netherlands]

Dr Sue Broadhurst [Brunel University, UK]

Annie Lovejoy (herenorthere, UK]

Robin Blackledge [independent artist, UK]

Derek Richards [Hyperjam, UK]

Martin Dupras, Paul Smith and Jez Nemeth [DMRC, UWE-Bristol]

 

The presentations will be followed by a plenary session during

which the current issues and research questions pertaining to the pursuit of

interactive, generative and telematic arts will be discussed.

 

Researchers from the Digital Media Research Centre will introduce their

new website, which incorporates a new library of methods for interactive media art.
