When creating the pd~ object you need to specify the -fifo argument (and it's buggy on pd-extended). With your solution, you don't even need to use -ninsig, but do you still need to specify -fifo and what value are you using. I want of course the lowest latency possible.
the audio buffer "pointer" is send throw the fifo. so the smallest the fifo, the smaller the latency but also the more synchronisation lock you will have. You need to test on your setup for the best fifo size.
How to you send audio exactly?
