since both you and liam use the [s pd-mypatch.pd] idiom, i'd like to
point out that this might be tricky, as the [savetofile( might rename
the patch... so the following will only work once:

[s pd-mypatch.pd]

a safer approach is to use [namecanvas]:

[s $0-canvas]
[namecancas $0-canvas]
