Hi James,
I already had package.txt but the path in gnumake.mak was incorrect so I changed it to reflect where it is on my computer but now I get this from the console:
alexandre-mathesons-power-mac-g5:~ alex$ bash /flext/build.sh pd gcc
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your combination of platform, system and compiler is not supported yet.
Required files:
build/config-mac.def
and
build/gnumake-mac-gcc.inc
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
make: *** [build/gnumake-mac-gcc.inc] Error 1
I have these two files but it's not finding them for some reason. I don't know what I have to configure cause I'm completely new to compiling.

Seasons greetings,

Welcome to Darwin!
alexandre-mathesons-power-mac-g5:~ alex$ bash /flext/build.sh pd gcc
/flext/buildsys/gnumake.mak:16: package.txt: No such file or directory
...this is telling you what's wrong: there should be a package.txt in the flext/ directory, and if not, then you need to update your cvs checkout...you may also want to cd into the flext directory...

The history of every major galactic civilization tends to pass through three distinct and recognizable phases, those of Survival, Inquiry and Sophistication, otherwise known as the How, Why and Where Phases.
For instance, the first phase can be characterized by the question 'How can we eat?', the second by the question 'Why do we eat?' and the third by the question 'Where shall we have lunch?'
