btw, i always wondered what's the difference between zexy's [lpt] object and your [parapin]. do you have an idea? ([lpt] is able to write 2 bytes to the parallel port and read one byte from it; everything is based on messages; usually you use the hardware-addresses of the parallel-port(s) to address it; in the CVS version of zexy you can also use the /dev/parport device (linux only))
Parapin doesn't know about linux devices, and requires root access to run. It is more flexible than the lpt object in terms of i/o configuration. Please read the original parapin documentation: http://parapin.sourceforge.net/doc/parapin.html -- Marc
