I plan on writing a [systempointer] object which would just return the
coords of the system pointer at all times, as well as button press
coords. It would be a general Pd object that would do what you want,
but alas, its still on the todo list.
Feel free to beat me to it ;)

This is all the info you can get from the gemmouse on OSX.
this is because (I know you noticed) that the gem-window never gets properly focused. This is because OSX terminal apps (PD) should not
open windows according to OSX.There was Jamie's pd++ floating around, an older hack of PD that
allowed the gemwindow to get focus.B.
when i want to get mouse coordinates via gemmouse in os x 10.4 (pd 0.39-test3), i only get x/y values while moving the mouse with one of the mousebuttons pressed. additionally, i don't get any argument from the 3rd, 4th or 5th output for the left, middle or right button.
is this a bug? anyone who has the some behaviour?
rainer.
