If you're using readsf~, soundfiles always play back at Pd's own sample rate. If you read into a table and use tabplay~ the same thing will happen, but if you use tabread~ you can control teh transposition ourself.

A while back I posted that Pd was playing oscillators out of tune, by around 48000/44100 or 44100/48000 or something. Now I am finding that, on my home Windows system (set to 48000), which never gave me a problem, certain wav files play back at the wrong speed, slightly fast.
Does this have something to do with the "header" mentioned in the readsf~ help? I have no understanding of this, or how to make it play the right speed. Does Pd have a way of overriding when it misinterprets the sample rate of the file? It seems to be something I have no control over.
