I had a Voodoo Banshee once, however it was not able to render into a window - so I was no success. I don't know about the Voodoo3 though (being able to render into a window). The screen had to be set to 16bit resolution for OpenGL operations, otherwise it would use software rendering instead. I also placed openGL32.dll on top of the native software renderer dll which resides in \windows\system.

Has anyone had any success using Gem with the Voodoo3 based cards? I've tried several different drivers. I've also put serveral different openGL32.dll's into bin directory (the one with pd.exe). PD/Gem starts up okay, but when I open a sample patch and hit render it goes so
unbelievebly
slow I can barely move my mouse. If anyone has any suggestions for things
I
could try it would be greatly appreciated
