this 15-20% cpu always made me wonder that the mac implementation was not as good as the linux one since supercollider with dsp on is like 0%

Isn't that a bug ? If you turn the dsp on and off again, it doesn't take that 15 or 20 % CPU anymore. Sometimes I put a [loadbang] to turn dsp on and off, so that I can get an extra 15 or 20 % CPU for video processing.
It doesn't look like a feature to me.
