hi,

in fact, from the tests i've made for recording,
i've managed to use the following codecs
with libquicktime 0.9.1 :

         strcmp( scompressor->s_name, "divx")             -----> but with a colormap problem
         && strcmp( scompressor->s_name, "dv")
         && strcmp( scompressor->s_name, "raw")
         && strcmp( scompressor->s_name, "jpeg")
         && strcmp( scompressor->s_name, "yuv2")

the files thus created with pdp_rec could be replayed
in pdp_qt.

cheers,

hi tom,

seems like only jpeg codec works - have not tried
any other one with success (that is: sorenson,
h.623, mpeg4 (opendivx), ...)

thanks for fast reply

hi martin,

can you find out which codecs are giving problems? lqtplay displays the codec
used. i use jpeg since it is closes to the internal format and relatively
fast if you use the mmx jpeg library.

tried to test pdp and pidip today - v4l works
perfect, yet i did not find any qt codec supported
by either pdp_yqt or pdp_qt (though other software
using the same lib is able to play most qt
codecs).

response was always:

pdp_yqt: opening /home/pi/mov/01.mov
pdp_yqt: no video stream

or

pdp_qt: opening /home/pi/mov/01.mov
pdp_qt: ERROR: no usable video stream found.

using the newest versions of all software
mentioned.
