I get that.  But you are taking an internal format passed between the GUI and the core and exposing it to
become a public API.  And that format virtually guarantees that users will misunderstand how it works:

"I told Pd to make the 12pt font 7x15 pixels, but it is isn't 7x15.  Is this a bug?"
