looks like you tried to connect a signal outlet to a non-signal inlet, which is not possible. it depends on what you want to print, if you want to print out a signal vector, you could use print~, if you want to print out a single sample, you should use snapshot~ in connection with print. or env~,...

running pd with windows, i've installed xsample.dll and load it correctly :
 
xsample objects, version 0.2.4, (C)2001,2002 Thomas Grill
xsample: xrecord~, xplay~, xgroove~ - send objects a 'help' message to get assistance
 
now, when i load xgroove~.pd i get the following error :
xgroove~.pd 31 5 70 0 (xgroove~->print) connection failed
 
what do i need to install (nothing in the readme)
