Try deleting that line from the source :)
The fix should have restored binary compatibility for existing compiled Gem installations, but new ones wont' compile with the offending line.
If desired, the offending line on the source could be replaced with this
pd_this->pd_stuff->st_namelist = namelist_append(pd_this->pd_stuff->st_namelist, mypath, 0);
