I built pd-extended from svn.  I just don't understand why this is necessary in my case.  I thought it wouldn't matter if my library is newer, but compatible, than the one the binary packages were compiled with.

Does this mean that I have to use the jack that comes packaged in Debian/ubuntu, the 6-month old 0.102 version?  If so, that is a bummer, since svn Ardour requires a version of jack newer than that..
