Hello all that's great, it all is very relevant information.... I'll have to decide either to hack the cheapeest built one or to bring out the old soldering iron, it doesn't look like a hard circuit.
Here's a circuit that I used to amplify the PIR sensor.

Not that i know much about sensors or electronics, but i believe this would
be a bit harder to implement, the modules that come out of home lights have
a set of resistors and other small bit built into a small circuit.
that is a really good price, however!
