"mach-o, but wrong architecture" means that you are most likely on an
Intel Mac, and that fftease.pd_darwin is meant for a PowerPC Mac.

when I'm turning on verbose mode I get 2 pages of error messages of

other leaves me with a more specific message :-----copy/paste-------------
/Applications/Pd-extended.app/Contents/Resources/extra/ fftease.pd_darwin: dlopen (/Applications/Pd-extended.app/Contents/Resources/extra/ fftease.pd_darwin, 10): no suitable image found. Did find: /Applications/Pd-extended.app/Contents/Resources/extra/ fftease.pd_darwin: mach-o, but wrong architecture fftease: can't load library

what does this 'no suitable image' message mean? and if there's a
way to fix it...I really want this to work - I'm about to install Linux on my Mac
laptop just for that. which is not a trivial operation (without
reformatting, I mean)Best Jurgen

If it says "mach-o, but wrong architecture", it's not loading the
one with the right architecture. Perhaps you have an old version
in the path too. Trying turning on "verbose" mode in the
prefererences to see which one is actually loading..hc

Hi,
the lib refuses to load under OS X.4 and OS X.5 on a mactel
machine. It is for sure the i38 version. I get the error message"mach-o, but wrong architecture"
of which I don't have a clue how I can improve the situation.
I do not believe that it is me, the lib at the same location runs well on my ancient and very slo G4 book. Remains something that I haven't seen yet.
Does anybody use the lib under OS X on an intelmac? Alternatively, how does it run under Linux? I might just install Linux on my mactel book...
