The solution is for someone to fix it.  You could get involved if you want, that's the joys of open source.  Right now, the builds are stopping because of a known bug in Intrepid:

"/usr/include/bits/fcntl2.h:51: error: call to ‘__open_missing_mode’ declared with attribute error: open with O_CREAT in second argument needs 3 arguments"

That's because there hasn't been a successful Intrepid build yet.  It seems they changed a lot of things and there are bugs still in Intrepid, so the builds aren't completing.
