i don't use .pdrc. i put everything into a startup file. something like this:
#!/bin/sh cd ~/pd bin/pd -rt -path .:./abs:./externs:./lib -lib zexy:gem:ggee
.pdrc normally is in your home directory, not in a subfolder (i think).

I thought I had this fixed last night, but now I can't find .pdrc again. I tried mik's suggestions the same way as last night, and it finds nothing. Where is it supposed to be? When I start PD, it says it's in what ever directory I happen to be in (usually /home/trolls/pdfiles), but when I do locate or less, it does nothing. It doesn't say it doesn't exist, but it doesn't give a location either. I'm stumped, and don't yet know enough
about
linux or PD to understand this fully. Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards, Tim

.pdrc is a hidden file. you're probably looking for it with a
filemanager.
look in the preferences of the filemanager and mark the option "show
hidden
files". or open a terminal and do "less .pdrc". to edit it do "gedit
.pdrc"
(replace "gedit" by your favourite text editor).

Greetings, I have been trying to get zexy to load, but everytime I try I
get
the
message "Can't load library". I followed the instructions and
compiled
it
and got no errors, but it doesn't seem to work. I also can't find
the
.pdrc
file, but when I start PD, I get the line home/trolls/.pdrc, so I
assume
it's there. Is there something I am missing? Feel free to ask for
more
info.
I think I've told everything that has happened. I am using Red-Hat
Linux
7.1
and PD 0.34-1.
